Famous Fruit
The Fruit heard round the world. When our branch produces fruit… God gets the word out.

When we are ever growing in our ability to love the Father, family and friends God sees to it that fruit is produced on us, the branches. Living in such a way can be called, “living in the light”. And it is this light, the light of Jesus, that absorbs into the leaves of our lives to nourish us, strengthen us to live even more fully in Him.

We live, He produces.

Colossians 1:9-14 (NLT)
9 So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.
10 Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better.
11 We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need. May you be filled with joy,
12 always thanking the Father. He has enabled you to share in the inheritance that belongs to his people, who live in the light.
13 For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son,
14 who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

When we step out of His light and into dark decisions, dark thoughts and actions, God does not take that lightly because we are then doing quite the opposite of loving the Father, family and friends. Those actions produce a poisonous fungus which affects and infects not just our lives but the lives of those around us. How seriously do you believe God takes this?

Deuteronomy 30:19-20 (NLT)
19 “Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live!
20 You can make this choice by loving the LORD your God, obeying him, and committing yourself firmly to him. This is the key to your life. And if you love and obey the LORD, you will live long in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

As a loving Father, God uses discipline to encourage you toward Life when you are leaning toward the darkness. What kind of parent allows a child to play on Main Street? God uses discipline to protect you as a loving parent uses discipline to protect her children.

How long we stay in the dark determines how long we endure discipline.

Choose life today. God is cheering for you.
